78 Arrested, Police Injured at GameStops Following Esports Victory

22 people were injured in clashes between esports fans and police at GameStop locations after a U.S. team won an international League of Legends championship. 78 people were arrested, with 45 still in custody. One person was found dead following an accident at a GameStop in New York, after crowds attempted to block access to the location overnight.
Over 600 police officers were mobilized for victory celebrations at GameStops across the country. 6 of the injured were officers.
